  • Head of the transdisciplinary work package HAFF (“Ability to act and flexibility in a reversible process”) in the BMUV research network TRANSENS (Transdisciplinary research on the disposal of high-level radioactive waste in Germany)
  • 2019 to 2022 Member of the four-member spokesperson team of the BMUV research association TRANSENS
  • 2014 to 2017 member of the council of the BMBF research network ENTRIA (Disposal Options for Radioactive Residues: Interdisciplinary Analyses and Development of Evaluation Principles) and head of the work package “Governance between expert knowledge, public protest and governmental action”
  • Since 2006, member of the BMUV expert group ESchT (“Expertengruppe Schweizer Tiefenlager”)
  • Since 2014, ITAS representative at the Deutsche Arbeitsgemeinschaft Endlagerforschung (DAEF)
