DiTraRe Interdisciplinary Symposium on Digitalisation of Research 2027

Mark your calendars for the second edition of DiTraRe Symposium on Digital Transformation of Research: we will meet from 6 to 7 of April 2027 in Karlsruhe, KIT!

We are excited to invite you to the DiTraRe Symposium, hosted by the Leibniz ScienceCampus Digital Transformation of Research (DiTraRe). The DiTraRe Symposium will take place on April 6-7, 2027, at the Engler-Bunte-Institut (EBI) in Karlsruhe. This year's edition will be focusing on interdisciplinarity in digital research practices. Expect inspiring keynotes, dynamic panel discussions, and interactive sessions that encourage lively exchange and collaboration. We look forward to seeing you there!

DiTraRe Leibniz Science Campus

Our research investigates the influence of digitalisation on research, shedding light on its potentials, challenges, and risks. The DiTraRe project is structured around four interdisciplinary use cases. These are the following: Sensitive Data in Sports Science, Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Engineering, Publication of Large Data Sets (climate research), and Chemotion Electronic Lab Notebook. Moreover, four dimensions work together with the use cases providing analytical and methodological perspectives: Reflection & Resonance, Exploration & Knowledge Organisation, Legal & Ethical Challenges, Tools & Processes. Together, these elements form a comprehensive framework for exploring digital transformation in research. Learn more about DiTraRe Symposium 2027 on our main website.
