Karl9 – Science hub for technology and society
Technology affects almost all areas of our daily lives. Where technology meets society, opportunities, risks, and numerous questions arise: Do we want to be cared for by robots? How will we get around in the future? Where do we safely store nuclear waste? We find answers to these questions through dialogue between science and society. This is where ITAS research comes in.
The “Karl9 – Science hub for technology and society” in the immediate vicinity of the institute building is a space where this exchange with you, the citizens, takes place – in the form of exhibitions, discussion events, and workshops. In the barrier-free hub, we provide information about our research during fixed opening hours and welcome questions and discussions in a relaxed atmosphere.

At "Tell me, ITAS", our researchers move their workplace to Karl9 every Tuesday afternoon from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and answer questions about their research topics. Registration is not necessary, you can come and go at any time. We look forward to seeing you!
