TA in dialogue: Cybersecurity in the research process

Wednesday, 22 April 2026, 15:00-16:30
Deutscher Bundestag, Platz der Republik 1, 11011 Berlin
Paul-Löbe-Haus, Sitzungssaal E 200

Cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important in the research process – from secure data processing and the development of relevant expertise in research institutions to issues of digital sovereignty and trustworthy international cooperation..
As part of the ‘Technology Assessment in Dialogue’ series, future scenarios from the ‘Cybersecurity in the Research Process 2030+’ section of the TAB’s current ‘Resilience Check’ will be presented, enriched by expert input, and discussed in a panel discussion with members of the German Bundestag and experts from the fields of science and security research.
The event aims to contextualise future developments and challenges from a political perspective and to discuss options for action to strengthen cybersecurity and resilience within the research system. (for full programme see homepage)
The event is open to the public and will be streamed live at www.bundestag.de.
The event will be held in German. No translation provided.
