Global warming and its impacts are being perceived more and more dramatically. However, ambitious and rapid climate protection measures can significantly halt the imminent catastrophe in many areas and initiate positive developments.

The FutureFiction competition is looking for blueprints of a positive future that describe a world where these positive changes have taken place.

The competition addresses young people aged between 13 and 23 all over Germany. They are invited to submit their ideas in the form of texts or short films by 16 May 2021 (Deadline extended!).

FutureFiction is supported by local groups of Fridays4Future, Scientists4Future, and Parents4Future. Together with ITAS researchers, they want to help motivate teenagers and young adults to become active and take a stand against global warming

The submissions will be reviewed by a diverse group of judges. ITAS will honor and present the most convincing contributions to the public in an event in summer 2021 in cooperation with the ZKM | Zentrum für Kunst und Medien in Karlsruhe. (03.02.2021)
