Arrangements have been made with the Tomsk State University (TSU) in Siberia and the Perm Polytechnic University in the Urals. In Perm, the direct partner is the Institute of Philosophy and Law with the research laboratory RRI-Lab headed by Dr. Elena Seredkina, were doctoral theses in science and technology are prepared taking into account TA and ethical considerations. The direct partner in Tomsk is the chair of Prof. Irina Chernikova at the Institute of Philosophy, where an international workshop on the topic "Social Assessment of Technology and Technoscience" was held in September 2015. Furthermore, the education center "Policy Analysis and Studies of Technology" (PAST) at the TSU with its orientation towards STS (science, technology & society) studies should be mentioned here. Increasing TA activities can also be observed at the Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU). The project "Responsible Resource Management" focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to the issue, based on notions of sustainability and RRI. It is coordinated by the Institute of Humanities, Social Sciences and Technologies and headed by Prof. Chaykovskiy.

The cooperation agreed in Perm will give priority to university teaching on technology assessment, especially in terms of engineering education. The first step will be to develop appropriate multilingual teaching materials based on available texts. Joint workshops and ITAS' participation in a conference in Perm at the end of 2016 are further steps along this path, which is also aimed at contributing to the development of a Russian network of technology assessment.
