The Cooperation between the European Parliament and the European Technology Assessment Group (ETAG) coordinated by ITAS continues. [23.04.2009]

Since October 2005, ITAS, as the leading partner of a group of European TA institutions, has been advising the European Parliament on issues of the social, economic, and ecological relevance of new scientific and technological developments. Following a regular call for proposals last Summer, it is now clear that ITAS, together with seven European partners, will continue its advisory work for the STOA l (Scientific and Technological Options Assessment) panel, responsible within the EP for technology assessment matters.

The advisory activities for Parliament in the field of science and technology policy were this time divided into eight thematic lots. ITAS with its partners in the European Technology Assessment Group (ETAG) submitted offers for all eight lots and was ranked first for five of the eight lots and second for the other three in competition with institutions from throughout Europe.

The corresponding contract award notice was published 18th of April in TED – Tenders Electronic Daily (a supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union): here
