FISTERA launches Delphi Survey [06.08.2004]

The thematic network FISTERA (Foresight on Information Society Technologies in the European Research Area), in which ITAS is a principal partner, is currently conducting the first round of a Delphi study. This survey provides participants the opportunity to express their opinions on national and European Priorities for the development of information society technologies, and to give their assessments of the status and competitiveness of Europe in global markets. All participants in the survey will receive a summary of the results. While the survey, which was co-conceived by ITAS, is in English, participants are free to respond in German. The survey is available at: http://www.xintesys.com/fistera/ist_delphi.htm.

The FISTERA project is calling the survey a "panoramic Delphi", since participants are requested to respond to questions on boxes describing application areas of ISTs ("panoramas").

The first wave of the survey is scheduled to run until the end of August 2004 with the second round scheduled to begin at the end of September.

ITAS and the work package coordinator, PREST(Policy Research in Engineering, Science and Technology) at the University of Manchester, thank you in advance for your participation.
