  • Since January 2020 Head of research group “Radioactive Waste Management as a Socio-Technical Project” (EndFo)
  • Since October 2019 member of the council of the BMWi research network TRANSENS (Transdisciplinary Research on the Disposal of High-level Radioactive Waste in Germany) and head of the transdisciplinary work package HAFF (Ability to Act and Flexibility in a Reversible Process).
  • 2014 to 2017 member of the council of the BMBF research network ENTRIA (Disposal Options for Radioactive Residues: Interdisciplinary Analyses and Development of Evaluation Principles) and head of the work package “Governance between expert knowledge, public protest and governmental action”.
  • Since 2006, member of the BMU expert group ESchT (“Expertengruppe Schweizer Tiefenlager”)
  • Since 2014, ITAS representative at the Deutsche Arbeitsgemeinschaft Endlagerforschung (DAEF)
  • 2012 - 2015 German delegate at the Nuclear Development Council of the OECD-NEA, Paris
