ITAS for Future (virtual event)

On 24 September 2020, ITAS virtually opens its doors to pupils and all those interested in its work. They are invited to inform themselves about approaches for better climate protection and more sustainability and discuss these topics with researchers.

On the occasion of the Global Climate Strike for Future, ITAS opens its doors, this time in virtual form. On Thursday, 24 September, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., pupils, students, and the interested public get the opportunity to exchange their opinions and ideas directly with the researchers.

At the event, experts in technology assessment talk about their research work and discuss it with the participants. The topics span from sustainable mobility and nutrition to questions of actively shaping the energy transition, creating livable cities, and alternatives to an oil-based economy.

Mission of advising society

“People’s requests for quicker and comprehensive measures for climate protection have not lost their urgency – even during the Corona pandemic,” underlines Armin Grunwald, head of ITAS. “We as researchers want to support this commitment, especially in these difficult times, by providing our knowledge and thus fulfilling our mission of ‘advising society’.”

Access to the online event

ITAS for Future takes place in digital form for the first time. Throughout the day, our guests can visit various virtual rooms on different topics.
