Socio-economic Challenges of Grid Computing

Project description

The project deals with economic, social and legal issues of grid computing and e-Science. A main focus of research is on appropriate rules and institutions that, for instance, regulate access and provision of grid-based resources as well as their evaluation, allocation, compensation, quality control, financing and intellectual property rights. Another main area of research is the assessment of implications of grids and e-Science on structure, conduct, and results of science and research.
